Arrow! WTF? Loving it! Who is Vigilante?

Well I have to indulge my comic book TV series obsession and talk about Arrow last night

SPOILER ALERT! DO NOT READ FURTHER IF YOU ARE NOT CAUGHT UP

So it appears that Prometheus is Adrian Chase! To be honest, I had always figure him as a villain, but was leaning more on him being Vigilante. But what a nice plot twist to find out he is Prometheus.

But one question remains...who is Vigilante?

Now the reason I was leaning on Adrian Chase was because Adrian Chase is one of the many that have been Vigilante in the comic book series.

But like many adapted comic book shows and movie, there is always a tweak in the source material.

EXAMPLE

Henri Ducard = Ra's Al Ghul

The two are separate characters in the comic books, but Ducard is used as an alias for Ra's Al Ghul in the film , Batman Begins

THEORY

Vigilante's identity is another person from the comics that have been vigilante. Prometheus ends up killing Vigilante and then becomes the new Vigilante. Just a thought. I could be (will be) wrong.
